About the Main supply 3 PCB

Main supply 3 is an open source PCB design by Thinkpad4by3, published on GitHub. It is a 2-layer board measuring 100 × 100 mm, with 186 components from 58 distinct parts.

Other key parts include the LM5155DSSR, TLV314QDBVR, PC817, TL431DBZ and AP2204K-5.0. By type, the board carries 77 resistors, 58 capacitors, 16 diodes, 11 ICs, 8 connectors and 4 transistors.

From the project

Electrostatic CRT driver designed from the ground up for performance, versatility and ease-of-manufacturability

Another reasons for ditching the LM5180 was due to was due to wanting variable output voltage, and the LM5180 uses a single resistor Rfb to determine this voltage. Not just did this require alot of tweaking, but provided no good method for changing the voltage with some level of signal control. Going back to a more conventional resistor divider style gave plenty of known proven options for this.
