About the TFHT01 PCB

TFHT01 is an open source PCB design by ThunderFly-aerospace, published on GitHub under the GPL-3.0 license. It is a 2-layer board measuring 30 × 15 mm, with 18 components from 13 distinct parts.

Other key parts include the SHT35A-DIS and MIC5504-3.3YM5. By type, the board carries 5 resistors, 4 capacitors, 3 diodes, 2 ICs, 2 connectors and 1 module.

It belongs with the sensors and test & measurement designs in this gallery.

From the project

Airborne Humidity and Temperature sensor for UAVs.

The TFHT01 hygrometer sensor offers flexible integration options. It can be directly connected to a Pixhawk autopilot with PX4 firmware, or it can be used as a sensor for the TF-ATMON monitoring system.

Sensors mounted on UAVs can be used for a variety of purposes. TFHT01 can measure air temperature and humidity, which can be used for meteorological purposes to estimate whether icing may form on aerodynamic surfaces. It could also be used to determine if the flight is conducted within the operating range of the drone. Another use can be to measure the temperature of selected UAV components…

TFHT01: common questions

How big is the TFHT01 PCB?

The TFHT01 measures 30 × 15 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 0.89 mm thick.

How many components are on the TFHT01?

18 components, from 13 distinct parts, with part numbers taken from the project's own BOM. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the TFHT01 design files?

From the ThunderFly-aerospace/TFHT01 repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout, the schematic and the BOM; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the TFHT01 design in my own project?

Yes, under the terms of its GPL-3.0 license, which ThunderFly-aerospace chose for the repository.
