About the Flow3r pot PCB

Flow3r pot is an open source PCB design by timonsku, published on GitHub under the CERN-OHL-P-2.0 license. It is a 2-layer board measuring 50 × 38 mm, with 31 components from 17 distinct parts.

Other key parts include the C9359, C2846043 and LDL1117S12R. By type, the board carries 8 resistors, 7 capacitors, 6 connectors, 4 ICs, 1 crystal and 1 jumper.

It belongs with the usb & debug tools designs in this gallery.

From the project

Helper tool for running UART over USB-C SBU pins for embedded debugging purposes

A tool that gives access to a UART port on USB-C SBU pins. It combines a USB to UART IC and a USB hub to connect both the USB port of the device and the UART itself to the connected USB Host.

The design can be ordered at JLCPCB Assembly service with the included gerber, bom and cpl file.

You can change the IO voltage by placing your own reference voltage LDO on the LDL1117 footprint and cut and re-solder JP1. By default the 3v3 reference is supplied by the CH343P.

Flow3r pot: common questions

How big is the Flow3r pot PCB?

The Flow3r pot measures 50 × 38 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the Flow3r pot?

31 components, from 17 distinct parts, with part numbers taken from the project's own BOM. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the Flow3r pot design files?

From the timonsku/flow3r-pot repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout, the schematic and the BOM; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the Flow3r pot design in my own project?

Yes, under the terms of its CERN-OHL-P-2.0 license, which timonsku chose for the repository.
