About the Tntech pcb workshop

Tntech pcb workshop is an open source STM32 PCB design by tux2603, published on GitHub. It is a 2-layer board measuring 22.4 × 34 mm, with 20 components from 14 distinct parts.

Its main chip is the STM32C071GBU6N, from the STM32 family. Other key parts include the XC6206P332MR. By type, the board carries 6 resistors, 4 connectors, 4 capacitors, 2 ICs, 2 switches and 2 diodes.

It belongs with the dev boards & breakouts designs in this gallery.

From the project

A workshop to create a simple STM32 based MCU development board. Created for the Tennessee Technological University Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering

Files and references for a PCB design workshop at Tennessee Tech. The workshop will focus on designing and assembling a two-layer PCB for a simple Arduino-compatible STM32 development board, and will serve as a first-introduction to PCB design and assembly for students. Students are expected to have a familiarity with basic electrical engineering concepts such as Ohm's law, impedance, and basic circuit analysis, but no prior experience with PCB design is required. The workshop will be hands-on, and will culminate in students assembling a (hopefully) functional PCB that they will be able to…

Tntech pcb workshop: common questions

What microcontroller does the Tntech pcb workshop use?

The Tntech pcb workshop is built around the STM32C071GBU6N, from the STM32 family.

How big is the Tntech pcb workshop?

The Tntech pcb workshop measures 22.4 × 34 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the Tntech pcb workshop?

20 components, from 14 distinct parts, with part numbers taken from the project's own BOM. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the Tntech pcb workshop design files?

From the tux2603/tntech_pcb_workshop repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout, the schematic and the BOM; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the Tntech pcb workshop design in my own project?

The repository has no license, so all rights stay with tux2603. Use it as a reference, and ask the author before reusing the design.

Can I test firmware for the Tntech pcb workshop without the hardware?

Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug STM32 firmware against it before you order a PCB.
