About the Nanoshield PCB

Nanoshield is an open source PCB design by Unixware, published on GitHub under the MIT license. It is a 2-layer board measuring 73.7 × 54.5 mm, with 7 components from 5 distinct parts.

By type, the board carries 4 connectors, 2 resistors and 1 capacitor.

It belongs with the dev boards & breakouts designs in this gallery.

From the project

an alternative shield/dock using THT for the MiSTeryNano project

Shield/dock/whatever for MiSTeryNano project (nano tang 20k + M0S dock) Ports on this is just MIDI-out and Joystick only (no level shifters for mice) Resistors R1/R2 may need different values 100% THT so low cost to produce

YMMV check before use, proceed with caution etc etc as I may have messed/missed something there...

To Till for patiently answering my tech questions!

Nanoshield: common questions

How big is the Nanoshield PCB?

The Nanoshield measures 73.7 × 54.5 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the Nanoshield?

7 components, from 5 distinct parts, with part numbers taken from the project's own BOM. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the Nanoshield design files?

From the Unixware/nanoshield repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout, the schematic and the BOM; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the Nanoshield design in my own project?

Yes, under the terms of its MIT license, which Unixware chose for the repository.
