About the ArduCore-Custom-Arduino-Board

ArduCore-Custom-Arduino-Board is an open source AVR/Arduino PCB design by urjadoshi2024etc-creator, published on GitHub under the Custom license license. It is a 2-layer board measuring 52 × 57.5 mm, with 15 components from 14 distinct parts.

Its main chip is the ATmega328P-P, from the AVR/Arduino family. Other key parts include the AS7805AT-G1. By type, the board carries 4 connectors, 3 capacitors, 1 IC, 1 diode and 1 resistor.

It belongs with the dev boards & breakouts designs in this gallery.

From the project

My own Arduino-style development board built from scratch using a DIP ATmega328P and custom KiCad PCB.

Most of the time, an Arduino is something you plug in and start coding.

Instead of using a ready-made Arduino board, I designed the microcontroller circuit, power section, reset circuit, clock circuit, headers, and PCB layout myself.

The goal wasn't just to make another Arduino.

ArduCore-Custom-Arduino-Board: common questions

What microcontroller does the ArduCore-Custom-Arduino-Board use?

The ArduCore-Custom-Arduino-Board is built around the ATmega328P-P, from the AVR/Arduino family.

How big is the ArduCore-Custom-Arduino-Board?

The ArduCore-Custom-Arduino-Board measures 52 × 57.5 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the ArduCore-Custom-Arduino-Board?

15 components, from 14 distinct parts, with part numbers taken from the project's own BOM. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the ArduCore-Custom-Arduino-Board design files?

From the urjadoshi2024etc-creator/ArduCore-Custom-Arduino-Board repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout, the schematic and the BOM; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the ArduCore-Custom-Arduino-Board design in my own project?

It is published under Custom license, which limits how it may be reused; read the license before building on it.

Can I test firmware for the ArduCore-Custom-Arduino-Board without the hardware?

Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug AVR/Arduino firmware against it before you order a PCB.
