About the AMS1117 Breakout

AMS1117 Breakout is an open source PCB design by ZDBioHazard, published on GitHub. It is a 2-layer board measuring 9.9 × 12.5 mm, with 4 components from 3 distinct parts.

Other key parts include the AMS1117-3.3. By type, the board carries 2 capacitors, 1 IC and 1 connector.

It belongs with the dev boards & breakouts designs in this gallery.

From the project

Simple breakout boards for various electronic components.

This is a small breakout for the Advanced Monolithic AMS1117 series (and compatible) SOT-223 fixed output linear voltage regulators and their filter capacitors.

The P1 pinout should be compatible with the usual 78xx regulators.

The negative ends of C1 and C2 are very close together, but they are connected at the pads anyway, so don't be afraid of bridging them. I designed this board for reflow assembly, but I managed to get my iron in there anyway.
