About the Pcb motor

Pcb motor is an open source PCB design by ziteh, published on GitHub under the MIT license. It is a 2-layer board measuring 116 × 114.4 mm, with 12 components from 8 distinct parts.

It belongs with the robotics & motion designs in this gallery.

From the project

PCB axial flux PMSM/BLDC motor (WIP)

AF-PMSM (axial flux permanent magnet synchronous machine) PCB stator, inspired by the sabanekko3/pcbstatorv2 and CarlBugeja/PCB-Motor-v4.

In the design of a PMSM, selecting the slot/pole topology is the first step [5].

The Star of Slot (SOS) method is commonly used for this purpose.

- Pole: The number of permanent magnets. - Slot: The number of coil slots.

The slot-to-pole relationship can be classified into:

Pcb motor: common questions

How big is the Pcb motor?

The Pcb motor measures 116 × 114.4 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1 mm thick.

How many components are on the Pcb motor?

12 components, from 8 distinct parts. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the Pcb motor design files?

From the ziteh/pcb-motor repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout and the schematic; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the Pcb motor design in my own project?

Yes, under the terms of its MIT license, which ziteh chose for the repository.
