About the Hair electrolysis machine usb c PCB

Hair electrolysis machine usb c is an open source STM32 PCB design by zoemaestra, published on GitHub under the CERN-OHL-P-2.0 license. It is a 2-layer board measuring 53 × 53 mm, with 75 components from 33 distinct parts.

Its main chip is the STM32G0B1RBTx, from the STM32 family. Other key parts include the TP4054, XC6206PxxxMR and LM358B. By type, the board carries 23 resistors, 19 capacitors, 15 diodes, 5 connectors, 5 switches and 4 ICs.

It belongs with the power & battery and sensors designs in this gallery.

From the project

A fork of scd31's hair electrolysis machine but with USB-C and optimised for cheaper assembly with JLCPCB

If you would like a single, pre-assembled unit with the foot pedal, stylus and pads included I now sell these on my store: https://shop.imzoe.me/products/portable-galvanic-electrolysis-hair-removal-device

This is based on n3tcat's original design but redesigned around the STM32 to cut down the BOM and make the board single sided. Unlike v3.4, this board requires no soldering to assemble, just a 340mAh LiPo battery and a display which can just be plugged in. It is even cheaper and even easier to assemble at approximately £15/$20 per board!

Hair electrolysis machine usb c: common questions

What microcontroller does the Hair electrolysis machine usb c use?

The Hair electrolysis machine usb c is built around the STM32G0B1RBTx, from the STM32 family.

How big is the Hair electrolysis machine usb c PCB?

The Hair electrolysis machine usb c measures 53 × 53 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the Hair electrolysis machine usb c?

75 components, from 33 distinct parts. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the Hair electrolysis machine usb c design files?

From the zoemaestra/hair-electrolysis-machine-usb-c repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout and the schematic; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the Hair electrolysis machine usb c design in my own project?

Yes, under the terms of its CERN-OHL-P-2.0 license, which zoemaestra chose for the repository.

Can I test firmware for the Hair electrolysis machine usb c without the hardware?

Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug STM32 firmware against it before you order a PCB.
