About the Pmg PCB

Pmg is an open source PCB design by 0x007E, published on GitHub under the CC-BY-NC-4.0 license. It is a 2-layer board measuring 81.3 × 40.6 mm, with 56 components from 14 distinct parts.

By type, the board carries 23 resistors, 15 diodes, 10 transistors, 6 capacitors, 1 connector and 1 microphone.

It belongs with the audio designs in this gallery.

From the project

Level meter for recording acoustic signals

The pmg project is based on a pcb with an elektret microphone signal transistor (BC547) amplifier and a transistor stage for level signalization.

There are two parts of the hardware. The pcb and the housing of the PMG. The pcb is created with KiCAD and the housing with FreeCAD. All files are built with github actions so that they are ready for a production environment. The housing is printed with a 3D-printer (Dremel 3D40).

Pmg: common questions

How big is the Pmg PCB?

The Pmg measures 81.3 × 40.6 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the Pmg?

56 components, from 14 distinct parts. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the Pmg design files?

From the 0x007E/pmg repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout and the schematic; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the Pmg design in my own project?

It is published under CC-BY-NC-4.0, which limits how it may be reused; read the license before building on it.
