From the project

Custom STM32F446ZET6 development board in KiCad. Prototype hardware, design review and validation log; hardware testing pending.

A custom, USB-powered development board for sensor and control experiments, built around the STM32F446ZET6. This project follows an embedded hardware design from component selection and PCB layout through assembly preparation, firmware and bench validation.

Current milestone: prototype fabrication preparation. The corrected design, fabrication exports and assembly data are published below. Hardware is not yet bench-tested; final assembler production-file approval and physical validation remain open.

Stm32f446-development board: common questions

What microcontroller does the Stm32f446-development board use?

The Stm32f446-development board is built around the STM32F446ZET6, from the STM32 family.

How big is the Stm32f446-development board?

The Stm32f446-development board measures 80 × 70 mm, has 4 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the Stm32f446-development board?

66 components, from 35 distinct parts, with part numbers taken from the project's own BOM. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the Stm32f446-development board design files?

From the ackom-a-o/stm32f446-development-board repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout, the schematic and the BOM; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the Stm32f446-development board design in my own project?

The repository has no license, so all rights stay with ackom-a-o. Use it as a reference, and ask the author before reusing the design.

Can I test firmware for the Stm32f446-development board without the hardware?

Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug STM32 firmware against it before you order a PCB.
