About the FumeBot PCB
FumeBot is an open source AVR/Arduino PCB design by ajithcodesit, published on GitHub under the MIT license. It is a board, with 41 components from 23 distinct parts.
Its main chip is the Arduino_Mega2560, from the AVR/Arduino family. Other key parts include the FLIR_Lepton_3, Pololu_Boost_Regulator, BME280, CCS811 and MAX30105. By type, the board carries 15 resistors, 10 ICs, 5 modules, 4 diodes, 3 transistors and 2 capacitors.
It belongs with the robotics & motion and sensors designs in this gallery.
From the project
A Deep Convolutional Neural Network Controlled Mobile Robot
FumeBot is a Deep Neural Network controlled robot. The mobile robot is autonomous and can be fitted with a range of sensors for different purposes. This was completed as the final project for Master of Science in Mechatronics at Newcastle University situated in Newcastle upon Tyne, United Kingdom. This project is a published journal at MDPI as FumeBot: A Deep Convolutional Neural Network Controlled Robot.

FumeBot: common questions
What microcontroller does the FumeBot use?
The FumeBot is built around the Arduino_Mega2560, from the AVR/Arduino family.
How many components are on the FumeBot?
41 components, from 23 distinct parts. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.
Where can I download the FumeBot design files?
From the ajithcodesit/FumeBot repository on GitHub, which has the schematic and a netlist; the links under Design files point to each one.
Can I use the FumeBot design in my own project?
Yes, under the terms of its MIT license, which ajithcodesit chose for the repository.
Can I test firmware for the FumeBot without the hardware?
Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug AVR/Arduino firmware against it before you order a PCB.
