About the EZpad PCB

EZpad is an open source PCB design by Amerax, published on GitHub. It is a 2-layer board measuring 70 × 68.5 mm, with 8 components from 4 distinct parts.

Other key parts include the MOUDLE-SEEEDUINO-XIAO and ER_OLEDM0.91_1x-I2C. By type, the board carries 6 switches and 2 ICs.

It belongs with the keyboards and displays & leds designs in this gallery.

From the project

A compact productivity macropad built around the Seeed Studio XIAO RP2040. The project includes a custom PCB designed in KiCad and QMK firmware, with 6 keys and a rotary encoder for everyday shortcuts like copy, paste, plus volume control and an OLED status display.

Features: 5 push-button keys + 1 rotary encoder with integrated push switch (6 keys total), wired direct-pin (no matrix). Not having matrix makes it much simpler and easy. Rotary encoder controls system volume 0.91" I2C OLED display (SSD1306-compatible) for status. Firmware built on QMK, running on a Seeed Studio XIAO RP2040.…

EZpad: common questions

How big is the EZpad PCB?

The EZpad measures 70 × 68.5 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the EZpad?

8 components, from 4 distinct parts, with part numbers taken from the project's own BOM. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the EZpad design files?

From the Amerax/EZpad repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout, the schematic and the BOM; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the EZpad design in my own project?

The repository has no license, so all rights stay with Amerax. Use it as a reference, and ask the author before reusing the design.
