About the C5 adapter PCB

C5 adapter is an open source PCB design by AndreiVladescu, published on GitHub under the CERN-OHL-W-2.0 license. It is a 2-layer board measuring 50 × 45 mm, with 6 components from 4 distinct parts.

By type, the board carries 5 connectors and 1 switch.

From the project

Carrier breaker-board for the ESP32-S3 Devkit. Works great with the ESP32-Bit-Pirate firmware.

ESP32-Bit-Pirate-Dock is an open-source carrier board for the Espressif ESP32-S3 DevKit, designed to complement the ESP32-Bit-Pirate firmware by geo-tp.

It provides level and voltage translation between the 3.3V ESP32-S3 and external peripherals, with support for 1.8V, 3.3V, and 5V operation. See the Hardware status section for the current revision, and grab the fabrication files to build your own.

C5 adapter: common questions

How big is the C5 adapter PCB?

The C5 adapter measures 50 × 45 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the C5 adapter?

6 components, from 4 distinct parts, with part numbers taken from the project's own BOM. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the C5 adapter design files?

From the AndreiVladescu/ESP32-Bit-Pirate-Hardware repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout, the schematic and the BOM; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the C5 adapter design in my own project?

Yes, under the terms of its CERN-OHL-W-2.0 license, which AndreiVladescu chose for the repository.
