About the Rp2040-target board
Rp2040-target board is an open source RP2040/RP2350 PCB design by andrewthecoolest, published on GitHub under the CERN-OHL-P-2.0 license. It is a 2-layer board measuring 52.5 × 64.5 mm, with 16 components from 9 distinct parts.
Its main chip is the C2040, from the RP2040/RP2350 family. Other key parts include the C97521. By type, the board carries 10 capacitors, 4 resistors and 2 ICs.
From the project
RP2040 CW308 target board for side-channel analysis and fault injection research.
A ChipWhisperer-compatible target board built around the Raspberry Pi RP2040.
This board connects an RP2040 with shunt to the CW308 UFO.
- RP2040 dual-core Arm Cortex-M0+ microcontroller - 16MB QSPI flash - ChipWhisperer 60-pin UFO308 target connector - 5Ω shunt (changable to anything < 10Ω) - 2-layer PCB - Made with love
If you want to make your own, Gerbers are in fab/gerbers/. I made it with JLCPCB default 2-layer settings, so I included CPL and BOM for JLCPCB. For JLCPCB specifically, I've already zipped the gerbers and drill.

Rp2040-target board: common questions
What microcontroller does the Rp2040-target board use?
The Rp2040-target board is built around the C2040, from the RP2040/RP2350 family.
How big is the Rp2040-target board?
The Rp2040-target board measures 52.5 × 64.5 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.
How many components are on the Rp2040-target board?
16 components, from 9 distinct parts, with part numbers taken from the project's own BOM. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.
Where can I download the Rp2040-target board design files?
From the andrewthecoolest/rp2040-target-board repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout, the schematic and the BOM; the links under Design files point to each one.
Can I use the Rp2040-target board design in my own project?
Yes, under the terms of its CERN-OHL-P-2.0 license, which andrewthecoolest chose for the repository.
Can I test firmware for the Rp2040-target board without the hardware?
Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug RP2040/RP2350 firmware against it before you order a PCB.
