About the Anton s-Hackpad version-2 PCB

Anton s-Hackpad version-2 is an open source RP2040/RP2350 PCB design by anton2785-bit, published on GitHub. It is a 2-layer board measuring 96.8 × 57.3 mm, with 27 components from 5 distinct parts.

Its main chip is the XIAO-RP2040-DIP, from the RP2040/RP2350 family. Other key parts include the OLED_0.91_128x32. By type, the board carries 12 switches, 12 diodes and 2 ICs.

It belongs with the keyboards designs in this gallery.

A mini keyboar for shortcuts that is a better version of my old one

* The mini hackpad's purpose is to make my life a little easier. It does it in the form of shortcuts. The display will be used to show information like the shortcut layer, that the hackpad is on ( For example instead of 12 buttons for shortcuts I have 24 or more ). The rotary encoder could be programmed to do anything. I am going to probably make it adjust my volume or cycle trough profiles/layers of shortcuts. --- ## Why i made this project/hackpad

Anton s-Hackpad version-2: common questions

What microcontroller does the Anton s-Hackpad version-2 use?

The Anton s-Hackpad version-2 is built around the XIAO-RP2040-DIP, from the RP2040/RP2350 family.

How big is the Anton s-Hackpad version-2 PCB?

The Anton s-Hackpad version-2 measures 96.8 × 57.3 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the Anton s-Hackpad version-2?

27 components, from 5 distinct parts, with part numbers taken from the project's own BOM. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the Anton s-Hackpad version-2 design files?

From the anton2785-bit/Anton-s-Hackpad-version-2 repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout, the schematic and the BOM; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the Anton s-Hackpad version-2 design in my own project?

The repository has no license, so all rights stay with anton2785-bit. Use it as a reference, and ask the author before reusing the design.

Can I test firmware for the Anton s-Hackpad version-2 without the hardware?

Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug RP2040/RP2350 firmware against it before you order a PCB.
