About the CustomKeyboard-1 PCB
CustomKeyboard-1 is an open source RP2040/RP2350 PCB design by anvaymathur, published on GitHub. It is a 2-layer board measuring 439 × 134 mm, with 221 components from 10 distinct parts.
Its main chip is the RaspberryPi_Pico, from the RP2040/RP2350 family. Other key parts include the MCP23S17x-x-SO. By type, the board carries 113 switches, 105 diodes, 1 IC, 1 module and 1 capacitor.
It belongs with the keyboards designs in this gallery.
From the project
Creating a custom keyboard using the https://keeb.hackclub.com/ guide
Atlas is a custom 100% layout keyboard with 104 keys and 1 rotary encoder volume knob. It uses QMK firmware and was built to learn more about custom PCB building and learn tools like KiCad as well as learn and practice soldering.
I built this project to participate in Hack Club's Keeb YSWS and used the guide to build this project.

CustomKeyboard-1: common questions
What microcontroller does the CustomKeyboard-1 use?
The CustomKeyboard-1 is built around the RaspberryPi_Pico, from the RP2040/RP2350 family.
How big is the CustomKeyboard-1 PCB?
The CustomKeyboard-1 measures 439 × 134 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.
How many components are on the CustomKeyboard-1?
221 components, from 10 distinct parts, with part numbers taken from the project's own BOM. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.
Where can I download the CustomKeyboard-1 design files?
From the anvaymathur/CustomKeyboard-1 repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout, the schematic and the BOM; the links under Design files point to each one.
Can I use the CustomKeyboard-1 design in my own project?
The repository has no license, so all rights stay with anvaymathur. Use it as a reference, and ask the author before reusing the design.
Can I test firmware for the CustomKeyboard-1 without the hardware?
Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug RP2040/RP2350 firmware against it before you order a PCB.
