About the Hermes PCB

Hermes is an open source RP2040/RP2350 PCB design by Anycircle11139s, published on GitHub. It is a 2-layer board measuring 42.2 × 55.5 mm, with 7 components from 5 distinct parts.

Its main chip is the MOUDLE-SEEEDUINO-XIAO, from the RP2040/RP2350 family. Other key parts include the LM75AD. By type, the board carries 3 resistors, 2 ICs, 1 connector and 1 switch.

It belongs with the sensors designs in this gallery.

This is my Hermes Project: Ngl, I created my hermes project cause I was bored and thought it would be a good idea, also, when I started it was a tier 2 project and said it would only take 5 hours... Later it would change to tier 1 with 10 hours :(

I mostly enjoyed the project, it helped me learn about resistors and datasheets, also it wasn't to complex. I'm also glad we don't have to CAD a case, because that would just be annoying.

Hermes: common questions

What microcontroller does the Hermes use?

The Hermes is built around the MOUDLE-SEEEDUINO-XIAO, from the RP2040/RP2350 family.

How big is the Hermes PCB?

The Hermes measures 42.2 × 55.5 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the Hermes?

7 components, from 5 distinct parts, with part numbers taken from the project's own BOM. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the Hermes design files?

From the Anycircle11139s/Hermes repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout, the schematic and the BOM; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the Hermes design in my own project?

The repository has no license, so all rights stay with Anycircle11139s. Use it as a reference, and ask the author before reusing the design.

Can I test firmware for the Hermes without the hardware?

Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug RP2040/RP2350 firmware against it before you order a PCB.
