About the Rust matter led PCB
Rust matter led is an open source ESP32 PCB design by arlyon, published on GitHub. It is a 2-layer board measuring 27.2 × 96.2 mm, with 24 components from 11 distinct parts.
Its main chip is the Waveshare ESP32c6, from the ESP32 family. Other key parts include the R-78E5.0-1.0. By type, the board carries 10 resistors, 5 transistors, 3 capacitors, 2 ICs, 2 connectors and 1 fuse.
It belongs with the iot & wireless designs in this gallery.
From the project
A Matter-compatible 5-channel RGBCW LED controller built on a custom PCB with an ESP32-C6, written entirely in Rust. Pairs natively with Apple Home, Google Home, and any other Matter controller -- no proprietary hub required.

The controller is a 2-layer PCB designed in KiCad 9. It accepts 24 V DC input through a Molex 2601-1106 connector, protected by a 10 A mini blade fuse (Littelfuse 0297010.WXNV). A Recom R-78E5.0-1.0 switching regulator steps 24 V down to 5 V / 1 A to power the Waveshare ESP32-C6 module. Two 470 uF electrolytic capacitors (Panasonic EEUFR1V471L) filter the converter…

Rust matter led: common questions
What microcontroller does the Rust matter led use?
The Rust matter led is built around the Waveshare ESP32c6, from the ESP32 family.
How big is the Rust matter led PCB?
The Rust matter led measures 27.2 × 96.2 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.
How many components are on the Rust matter led?
24 components, from 11 distinct parts. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.
Where can I download the Rust matter led design files?
From the arlyon/rust-matter-led repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout and the schematic; the links under Design files point to each one.
Can I use the Rust matter led design in my own project?
The repository has no license, so all rights stay with arlyon. Use it as a reference, and ask the author before reusing the design.
Can I test firmware for the Rust matter led without the hardware?
Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug ESP32 firmware against it before you order a PCB.
