About the Data Collection Logging PCB
Data Collection Logging is an open source AVR/Arduino PCB design by ARTS-Laboratory, published on GitHub under the CC-BY-SA-4.0 license. It is a 2-layer board measuring 35.6 × 69.9 mm, with 8 components from 7 distinct parts.
Its main chip is the Arduino_Mega2560_Shield, from the AVR/Arduino family. Other key parts include the Fixed 3.3V Linear Regulator. By type, the board carries 2 capacitors and 1 IC.
It belongs with the iot & wireless and sensors designs in this gallery.
From the project
A low-cost, IOT water level sensor package alternative to traditional gauging equipment.
This sensor package uses a WINC1500 shield to connect to the Internet over Wifi. It is produced by Adafruit Industries. Here is a tutorial by them for how to set up and use the board. The WINC1500 has an SD card module on it.
We use the Adafruit IO server to monitor our sensor package over the Internet in real time. You will need to create an account with Adafruit, however it is free. To learn how to sign up for the Adafruit IO server, use this tutorial. You will also need to learn how to use feeds and dashboards.

Data Collection Logging: common questions
What microcontroller does the Data Collection Logging use?
The Data Collection Logging is built around the Arduino_Mega2560_Shield, from the AVR/Arduino family.
How big is the Data Collection Logging PCB?
The Data Collection Logging measures 35.6 × 69.9 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.
How many components are on the Data Collection Logging?
8 components, from 7 distinct parts. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.
Where can I download the Data Collection Logging design files?
From the ARTS-Laboratory/IoT-Water-Level-Sensor repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout and the schematic; the links under Design files point to each one.
Can I use the Data Collection Logging design in my own project?
Yes, under the terms of its CC-BY-SA-4.0 license, which ARTS-Laboratory chose for the repository.
Can I test firmware for the Data Collection Logging without the hardware?
Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug AVR/Arduino firmware against it before you order a PCB.
