About the Winter60 PCB
Winter60 is an open source RP2040/RP2350 PCB design by aryan-madan, published on GitHub under the GPL-3.0 license. It is a 2-layer board measuring 352.2 × 101.3 mm, with 137 components from 14 distinct parts.
Its main chip is the RaspberryPi_Pico, from the RP2040/RP2350 family. By type, the board carries 66 switches, 65 diodes, 4 resistors, 1 module and 1 connector.
It belongs with the keyboards designs in this gallery.
From the project
A 60% hotswap mechanical keyboard, with dedicated macro keys.
I am a keyboard addict. I've been in love with the mechanical keyboard community for almost 6 years now.
I made my first keyboard in Blueprint, which also my first ever hardware project. I made a 65% hotswap keyboard for it, which had design flaws and ended up not fully working. I wanted to redeem myself by giving myself another shot and making another keyboard. So, I decided on making a 60% keyboard with 4 dedicated macro keys.

Winter60: common questions
What microcontroller does the Winter60 use?
The Winter60 is built around the RaspberryPi_Pico, from the RP2040/RP2350 family.
How big is the Winter60 PCB?
The Winter60 measures 352.2 × 101.3 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.
How many components are on the Winter60?
137 components, from 14 distinct parts, with part numbers taken from the project's own BOM. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.
Where can I download the Winter60 design files?
From the aryan-madan/Winter60 repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout, the schematic and the BOM; the links under Design files point to each one.
Can I use the Winter60 design in my own project?
Yes, under the terms of its GPL-3.0 license, which aryan-madan chose for the repository.
Can I test firmware for the Winter60 without the hardware?
Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug RP2040/RP2350 firmware against it before you order a PCB.
