About the Qfwfq PCB

Qfwfq is an open source AVR/Arduino PCB design by ASH-ART, published on GitHub under the GPL-3.0 license. It is a 2-layer board measuring 219.1 × 95.3 mm, with 89 components from 20 distinct parts.

Its main chip is the ATMEGA32U4-AU, from the AVR/Arduino family. Other key parts include the PRTR5V0U2X. By type, the board carries 34 relays, 34 diodes, 9 capacitors, 6 resistors, 2 ICs and 1 crystal.

It belongs with the keyboards designs in this gallery.

From the project

A sub-40% keyboard PCB in the spirit of weteor's klacker_BS

A sub-40% keyboard PCB in the spirit of weteor's Klacker_BS, with base kit modifiers and MechVault-style split bars. It wouldn't be a sub-40% without spicy keycap compatibility.

This PCB has been tested to work. The members of the PCB development team are not liable if you end up with a non-functional pcb. Order at your own risk. Support will not be provided but pull requests will be reviewed and possibly accepted.

Qfwfq: common questions

What microcontroller does the Qfwfq use?

The Qfwfq is built around the ATMEGA32U4-AU, from the AVR/Arduino family.

How big is the Qfwfq PCB?

The Qfwfq measures 219.1 × 95.3 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the Qfwfq?

89 components, from 20 distinct parts, with part numbers taken from the project's own BOM. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the Qfwfq design files?

From the ASH-ART/Qfwfq repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout and the BOM; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the Qfwfq design in my own project?

Yes, under the terms of its GPL-3.0 license, which ASH-ART chose for the repository.

Can I test firmware for the Qfwfq without the hardware?

Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug AVR/Arduino firmware against it before you order a PCB.
