About the Hakko-907-Clone soldering station PCB

Hakko-907-Clone soldering station is an open source AVR/Arduino PCB design by AUsualNoob, published on GitHub under the MIT license. It is a 4-layer board measuring 99 × 81.5 mm, with 24 components from 22 distinct parts.

Its main chip is the Arduino_Nano_v2.x, from the AVR/Arduino family. Other key parts include the LM2576HVS-5 and LM358. By type, the board carries 7 resistors, 3 diodes, 2 ICs, 2 transistors, 2 connectors and 2 capacitors.

From the project

A soldering station for a Hakko 907

- Arduino Nano based control - Compatible with Hakko 907 / 907C style handles - Temperature monitoring - Adjustable temperature control

Took me a long while. Research and part searching is hard man.

I had to make it 4 layer for my sake, I wouldn't be able to make it 2 layer.

Works by having the transistor at either max PWM value or 0 PWM value for increasing and decreasing temperature.

Hakko-907-Clone soldering station: common questions

What microcontroller does the Hakko-907-Clone soldering station use?

The Hakko-907-Clone soldering station is built around the Arduino_Nano_v2.x, from the AVR/Arduino family.

How big is the Hakko-907-Clone soldering station PCB?

The Hakko-907-Clone soldering station measures 99 × 81.5 mm, has 4 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the Hakko-907-Clone soldering station?

24 components, from 22 distinct parts. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the Hakko-907-Clone soldering station design files?

From the AUsualNoob/Hakko-907-Clone-soldering-station repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout and the schematic; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the Hakko-907-Clone soldering station design in my own project?

Yes, under the terms of its MIT license, which AUsualNoob chose for the repository.

Can I test firmware for the Hakko-907-Clone soldering station without the hardware?

Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug AVR/Arduino firmware against it before you order a PCB.
