Deck Featuring: Controllers, shock cage, folding travel mode, and picatinny rails
A portable cyberdeck designed around accessories and working on the move.
Why? There are many game consoles out there, like the nintendo switch, and the steamdeck. I find the integrated controllers with the screen to be awesome for portability, while lacking in quality compared to standalone controllers. So? I created a high quality controller, connected comfortably to the screen. The cyberdeck in particular, has a interesting feature I wanted to tackle for true portability. The keyboard. Unlike a traditional laptop, which requires to be unfolded and set on a surface, the portable cyberdeck…

Cyberdeck: common questions
What microcontroller does the Cyberdeck use?
The Cyberdeck is built around the RaspberryPi_Pico_W, from the Raspberry Pi family.
How big is the Cyberdeck PCB?
The Cyberdeck measures 110.7 × 67.8 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.
How many components are on the Cyberdeck?
32 components, from 17 distinct parts. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.
Where can I download the Cyberdeck design files?
From the awesomebrownies/cyberdeck repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout and the schematic; the links under Design files point to each one.
Can I use the Cyberdeck design in my own project?
The repository has no license, so all rights stay with awesomebrownies. Use it as a reference, and ask the author before reusing the design.
Can I test firmware for the Cyberdeck without the hardware?
Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug Raspberry Pi firmware against it before you order a PCB.
