About the Vault-Security-System PCB
Vault-Security-System is an open source AVR/Arduino PCB design by bill-chamal, published on GitHub under the MIT license. It is a 2-layer board measuring 104 × 54 mm, with 23 components from 19 distinct parts.
Its main chip is the ATmega328-P, from the AVR/Arduino family. Other key parts include the TSIC206-TO92 and LM317_SOT-223. By type, the board carries 6 capacitors, 5 resistors, 4 diodes, 3 ICs, 3 connectors and 1 crystal.
It belongs with the sensors designs in this gallery.
From the project
The Safe Security System monitors for changes in temperature and light while a safe is closed. If a minimum threshold is exceeded, the system notifies the owner only when the safe is opened normally.

Vault-Security-System: common questions
What microcontroller does the Vault-Security-System use?
The Vault-Security-System is built around the ATmega328-P, from the AVR/Arduino family.
How big is the Vault-Security-System PCB?
The Vault-Security-System measures 104 × 54 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.
How many components are on the Vault-Security-System?
23 components, from 19 distinct parts. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.
Where can I download the Vault-Security-System design files?
From the bill-chamal/Vault-Security-System repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout and the schematic; the links under Design files point to each one.
Can I use the Vault-Security-System design in my own project?
Yes, under the terms of its MIT license, which bill-chamal chose for the repository.
Can I test firmware for the Vault-Security-System without the hardware?
Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug AVR/Arduino firmware against it before you order a PCB.
