About the MounT K85 Teensy PCB

MounT K85 Teensy is an open source NXP PCB design by bkw777, published on GitHub under the GPL-3.0 license. It is a 2-layer board measuring 61.2 × 18 mm, with 9 components from 5 distinct parts.

Its main chip is the Teensy_3.5_3.6_4.1, from the NXP family. Other key parts include the MAX3232. By type, the board carries 5 capacitors, 2 connectors, 1 IC and 1 jumper.

It belongs with the dev boards & breakouts and power & battery designs in this gallery.

From the project

Mount an MCU board on a "Model T" computer

This repo has a few different variations of adapter boards to attach some common small DIP form-factor microcontroller boards directly to "Model T" computers by the serial port.

Particularly, boards with integrated SD card readers, for use with PDDuino, but not limited to that.

You can power the microcontroller board from the computer using a BCR-USB power adapter

MounT K85 Teensy: common questions

What microcontroller does the MounT K85 Teensy use?

The MounT K85 Teensy is built around the Teensy_3.5_3.6_4.1, from the NXP family.

How big is the MounT K85 Teensy PCB?

The MounT K85 Teensy measures 61.2 × 18 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the MounT K85 Teensy?

9 components, from 5 distinct parts, with part numbers taken from the project's own BOM. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the MounT K85 Teensy design files?

From the bkw777/MounT repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout, the schematic and the BOM; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the MounT K85 Teensy design in my own project?

Yes, under the terms of its GPL-3.0 license, which bkw777 chose for the repository.

Can I test firmware for the MounT K85 Teensy without the hardware?

Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug NXP firmware against it before you order a PCB.
