From the project

This repo includes all software necessary to operate the Test Rover Platform that is being designed and developed in the 502 project.

A power hub that uses battery power to operate the kinects using both a 12v rail and a 5v rail. There will also be space space on the 5v rail to power more USB devices to plug into the USB hub in the future for more communication.

USB data hub will output usb A female to communicate with USB B devices.

Usb power board: common questions

What microcontroller does the Usb power board use?

The Usb power board is built around the STM32G474, from the STM32 family.

How big is the Usb power board?

The Usb power board measures 100 × 100 mm, has 6 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the Usb power board?

404 components, from 53 distinct parts. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the Usb power board design files?

From the bluesatunsw/owr repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout and the schematic; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the Usb power board design in my own project?

Yes, under the terms of its Apache-2.0 license, which bluesatunsw chose for the repository.

Can I test firmware for the Usb power board without the hardware?

Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug STM32 firmware against it before you order a PCB.
