About the SkySweep32 Pro Tier Carrier PCB

SkySweep32 Pro Tier Carrier is an open source ESP32 PCB design by bobberdolle1, published on GitHub under the GPL-3.0 license. It is a 2-layer board measuring 120 × 80 mm, with 20 components from 16 distinct parts.

Its main chip is the ESP32 Left, from the ESP32 family. Other key parts include the AMS1117-3.3. By type, the board carries 1 IC, 1 buzzer and 1 LED.

It belongs with the rf & radio designs in this gallery.

From the project

Open-source passive multi-band RF monitoring system | 855–925 MHz, 2.4 GHz, 5.8 GHz | Rev C first prototype

Rev C status: READY FOR FIRST PHYSICAL PROTOTYPE — NOT PRODUCTION VALIDATED.

revc/ is the only current hardware source. Its native KiCad 10 schematic and four-layer PCB, exact BOM, generated fabrication package, complete PCBA STEP, co-designed enclosure, firmware pin contract, and validation evidence are documented in revc/README.md.

SkySweep32 Pro Tier Carrier: common questions

What microcontroller does the SkySweep32 Pro Tier Carrier use?

The SkySweep32 Pro Tier Carrier is built around the ESP32 Left, from the ESP32 family.

How big is the SkySweep32 Pro Tier Carrier PCB?

The SkySweep32 Pro Tier Carrier measures 120 × 80 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the SkySweep32 Pro Tier Carrier?

20 components, from 16 distinct parts, with part numbers taken from the project's own BOM. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the SkySweep32 Pro Tier Carrier design files?

From the bobberdolle1/SkySweep32 repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout and the BOM; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the SkySweep32 Pro Tier Carrier design in my own project?

Yes, under the terms of its GPL-3.0 license, which bobberdolle1 chose for the repository.

Can I test firmware for the SkySweep32 Pro Tier Carrier without the hardware?

Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug ESP32 firmware against it before you order a PCB.
