Cheap Crappy Constant Current Portable Programmable Power Supply

CCCCPPPS is a DIY Programmable Buck/Boost Power Supply, designed with the goal of being cheap, crappy, but very useful!

- 0 to turn the supply off - 1-9 to set the target Voltage/Current in multiples of 1000mV/100mA - c to switch to Constant Current Mode - v to switch to Constant Voltage Mode - + to increase the target Voltage/Current depending on mode, in 50mV/25mA increments - - to decrease the target Voltage/Current depending on mode, in 50mV/25mA increments - ~~Konami code makes the unit self distruct.~~ Removed due to misuse.

CCCCPPPS MkI: common questions

What microcontroller does the CCCCPPPS MkI use?

The CCCCPPPS MkI is built around the CH32V003A4M6, from the RISC-V family.

How big is the CCCCPPPS MkI PCB?

The CCCCPPPS MkI measures 45 × 49.8 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the CCCCPPPS MkI?

25 components, from 20 distinct parts. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the CCCCPPPS MkI design files?

From the BogdanTheGeek/CCCCPPPS repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout and the schematic; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the CCCCPPPS MkI design in my own project?

Yes, under the terms of its MIT license, which BogdanTheGeek chose for the repository.

Can I test firmware for the CCCCPPPS MkI without the hardware?

Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug RISC-V firmware against it before you order a PCB.
