About the CCCCPPPS PCB

CCCCPPPS is an open source RISC-V PCB design by BogdanTheGeek, published on GitHub under the MIT license. It is a 2-layer board measuring 58 × 20 mm, with 26 components from 20 distinct parts.

Its main chip is the CH32V003AxMx, from the RISC-V family. Other key parts include the AP2112K-3.3. By type, the board carries 9 resistors, 7 capacitors, 4 connectors, 2 ICs, 1 transistor and 1 jumper.

It belongs with the power & battery designs in this gallery.

From the project

Cheap Crappy Constant Current Portable Programmable Power Supply

CCCCPPPS is a DIY Programmable Buck/Boost Power Supply, designed with the goal of being cheap, crappy, but very useful!

- 0 to turn the supply off - 1-9 to set the target Voltage/Current in multiples of 1000mV/100mA - c to switch to Constant Current Mode - v to switch to Constant Voltage Mode - + to increase the target Voltage/Current depending on mode, in 50mV/25mA increments - - to decrease the target Voltage/Current depending on mode, in 50mV/25mA increments - ~~Konami code makes the unit self distruct.~~ Removed due to misuse.

CCCCPPPS: common questions

What microcontroller does the CCCCPPPS use?

The CCCCPPPS is built around the CH32V003AxMx, from the RISC-V family.

How big is the CCCCPPPS PCB?

The CCCCPPPS measures 58 × 20 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the CCCCPPPS?

26 components, from 20 distinct parts. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the CCCCPPPS design files?

From the BogdanTheGeek/CCCCPPPS repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout and the schematic; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the CCCCPPPS design in my own project?

Yes, under the terms of its MIT license, which BogdanTheGeek chose for the repository.

Can I test firmware for the CCCCPPPS without the hardware?

Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug RISC-V firmware against it before you order a PCB.
