About the Jarduino2 PCB

Jarduino2 is an open source TI MSP430/CC PCB design by bpmine, published on GitHub. It is a 2-layer board measuring 93 × 89 mm, with 52 components from 27 distinct parts.

Its main chip is the MSP430F1222IDW, from the TI MSP430/CC family. Other key parts include the R-78B3.3-2.0 and RtcArduino. By type, the board carries 18 resistors, 11 capacitors, 8 connectors, 6 diodes, 3 ICs and 2 transistors.

From the project

Jarduino2: common questions

What microcontroller does the Jarduino2 use?

The Jarduino2 is built around the MSP430F1222IDW, from the TI MSP430/CC family.

How big is the Jarduino2 PCB?

The Jarduino2 measures 93 × 89 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the Jarduino2?

52 components, from 27 distinct parts. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the Jarduino2 design files?

From the bpmine/jarduino repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the Jarduino2 design in my own project?

The repository has no license, so all rights stay with bpmine. Use it as a reference, and ask the author before reusing the design.

Can I test firmware for the Jarduino2 without the hardware?

Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug TI MSP430/CC firmware against it before you order a PCB.
