About the Syzygy breakout standard
Syzygy breakout standard is an open source AVR/Arduino PCB design by butterstick-fpga, published on GitHub. It is a 4-layer board measuring 45 × 70 mm, with 10 components from 8 distinct parts.
Its main chip is the ATTINY44A-MMH, from the AVR/Arduino family. By type, the board carries 6 connectors, 2 capacitors, 1 IC and 1 resistor.
It belongs with the dev boards & breakouts designs in this gallery.

Syzygy breakout standard: common questions
What microcontroller does the Syzygy breakout standard use?
The Syzygy breakout standard is built around the ATTINY44A-MMH, from the AVR/Arduino family.
How big is the Syzygy breakout standard?
The Syzygy breakout standard measures 45 × 70 mm, has 4 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.
How many components are on the Syzygy breakout standard?
10 components, from 8 distinct parts, with part numbers taken from the project's own BOM. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.
Where can I download the Syzygy breakout standard design files?
From the butterstick-fpga/syzygy-breakout-standard repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout, the schematic and the BOM; the links under Design files point to each one.
Can I use the Syzygy breakout standard design in my own project?
The repository has no license, so all rights stay with butterstick-fpga. Use it as a reference, and ask the author before reusing the design.
Can I test firmware for the Syzygy breakout standard without the hardware?
Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug AVR/Arduino firmware against it before you order a PCB.
