About the Dc serial PCB

Dc serial is an open source PCB design by cepawiel, published on GitHub. It is a 2-layer board measuring 37 × 26 mm, with 15 components from 10 distinct parts.

Other key parts include the CP2102N-AXX-XQFN28. By type, the board carries 6 resistors, 4 capacitors, 2 ICs, 2 diodes and 1 connector.

It belongs with the usb & debug tools designs in this gallery.

From the project

On the PCB there's solder jumpers for connecting the clock and serial pins. I haven't experimented with using them yet, but that was the intention behind including them.

Dc serial: common questions

How big is the Dc serial PCB?

The Dc serial measures 37 × 26 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the Dc serial?

15 components, from 10 distinct parts, with part numbers taken from the project's own BOM. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the Dc serial design files?

From the cepawiel/dc-serial repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout, the schematic and the BOM; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the Dc serial design in my own project?

The repository has no license, so all rights stay with cepawiel. Use it as a reference, and ask the author before reusing the design.
