About the Clicky-Board

Clicky-Board is an open source RP2040/RP2350 PCB design by Chaeeun147, published on GitHub. It is a 2-layer board measuring 81.5 × 31 mm, with 12 components from 4 distinct parts.

Its main chip is the XIAO-RP2040-DIP, from the RP2040/RP2350 family. By type, the board carries 4 diodes, 4 resistors, 3 switches and 1 IC.

From the project

A custom PCB controller board and fidget.

I made this project because I love fidget toys, and I found it intriguing that I could use it as both a piece of tech AND a fidget toy. My pathfinder is also programmed, so when I press different buttons or button combinations, it turns on different LED lights!

Clicky-Board: common questions

What microcontroller does the Clicky-Board use?

The Clicky-Board is built around the XIAO-RP2040-DIP, from the RP2040/RP2350 family.

How big is the Clicky-Board?

The Clicky-Board measures 81.5 × 31 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the Clicky-Board?

12 components, from 4 distinct parts. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the Clicky-Board design files?

From the Chaeeun147/Clicky-Board repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout and the schematic; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the Clicky-Board design in my own project?

The repository has no license, so all rights stay with Chaeeun147. Use it as a reference, and ask the author before reusing the design.

Can I test firmware for the Clicky-Board without the hardware?

Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug RP2040/RP2350 firmware against it before you order a PCB.
