About the RishuBoard PCB

RishuBoard is an open source RP2040/RP2350 PCB design by CHAPARII, published on GitHub. It is a 2-layer board measuring 85.7 × 99.2 mm, with 34 components from 5 distinct parts.

Its main chip is the XIAO-RP2040-DIP, from the RP2040/RP2350 family. By type, the board carries 17 diodes, 16 switches and 1 IC.

It belongs with the keyboards designs in this gallery.

I've used XIAO RP2040 microcontroller, 2 RGB Leds for activety and status view. Rotary encoder will be used for adjusting the volume of main system. I've made the case in two parts "top" and "bottom" I thought to add top plate as well buy I didn't because I wanted to make to look like a coustom build project or else people would think that I've bought it. The designe I made is pretty simple but good at the same time.

RishuBoard: common questions

What microcontroller does the RishuBoard use?

The RishuBoard is built around the XIAO-RP2040-DIP, from the RP2040/RP2350 family.

How big is the RishuBoard PCB?

The RishuBoard measures 85.7 × 99.2 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the RishuBoard?

34 components, from 5 distinct parts, with part numbers taken from the project's own BOM. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the RishuBoard design files?

From the CHAPARII/RishuBoard repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout, the schematic and the BOM; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the RishuBoard design in my own project?

The repository has no license, so all rights stay with CHAPARII. Use it as a reference, and ask the author before reusing the design.

Can I test firmware for the RishuBoard without the hardware?

Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug RP2040/RP2350 firmware against it before you order a PCB.
