Apps are standalone HTML pages that ClackOS also opens in desktop windows. They use iframes by default; trusted utilities marked "integrated": true in menu.json use an isolated shadow root. Shared app styles live in assets/css/app.css. ClackOS adds File → Open app in new tab unless an app is marked "plain": false, which identifies desktop-only utilities.
