Files from 403 and 404

The 2025-2026 TI Amplifier Capstone Project was a senior year capstone project under Texas A&M University and sponsored by Texas Instruments. The project was completed by Haotian Guan, Cole Keating, Braeden Murdock, and Jonathan Roman under the mentorship and supervision of Alex Anderson as a contact with Texas Instruments. The files included in this GitHub repository reflect the progress updates and final version of the project.

Capstone 1: common questions

What microcontroller does the Capstone 1 use?

The Capstone 1 is built around the OPA1656ID, from the ESP32 family.

How big is the Capstone 1 PCB?

The Capstone 1 measures 49 × 44.5 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the Capstone 1?

14 components, from 10 distinct parts, with part numbers taken from the project's own BOM. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the Capstone 1 design files?

From the colektamu/ECEN404-2026SP-TIAmplifier repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout, the schematic and the BOM; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the Capstone 1 design in my own project?

The repository has no license, so all rights stay with colektamu. Use it as a reference, and ask the author before reusing the design.

Can I test firmware for the Capstone 1 without the hardware?

Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug ESP32 firmware against it before you order a PCB.
