About the ThermEX26 PCB

ThermEX26 is an open source STM32 PCB design by comradef191, published on GitHub under the CERN-OHL-S-2.0 license. It is a 2-layer board measuring 91.4 × 57.5 mm, with 104 components from 14 distinct parts.

Its main chip is the Socketed MCU - STM32 BlackPill, from the STM32 family. Other key parts include the TPS7A2033PDBVR and ADS1115IDGSR. By type, the board carries 35 capacitors, 32 connectors, 28 resistors, 6 ICs and 3 test points.

ThermEX26: common questions

What microcontroller does the ThermEX26 use?

The ThermEX26 is built around the Socketed MCU - STM32 BlackPill, from the STM32 family.

How big is the ThermEX26 PCB?

The ThermEX26 measures 91.4 × 57.5 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the ThermEX26?

104 components, from 14 distinct parts. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the ThermEX26 design files?

From the comradef191/ThermEX repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout and the schematic; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the ThermEX26 design in my own project?

Yes, under the terms of its CERN-OHL-S-2.0 license, which comradef191 chose for the repository.

Can I test firmware for the ThermEX26 without the hardware?

Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug STM32 firmware against it before you order a PCB.
