About the MainBoard PCB
MainBoard is an open source RP2040/RP2350 PCB design by connorfcruz, published on GitHub under the MIT license. It is a 2-layer board measuring 65.3 × 50.3 mm, with 18 components from 8 distinct parts.
Its main chip is the Module_XIAO-RP2040, from the RP2040/RP2350 family. Other key parts include the ATtiny1614-SS. By type, the board carries 9 resistors, 6 connectors, 1 IC, 1 module and 1 capacitor.
It belongs with the sensors and test & measurement designs in this gallery.
From the project
An interactive map of Guam displaying culture, history, and mythology
An interactive physical map that teaches the culture of Guam. Place a 3D-printed latte stone marker on a landmark and the screen tells you about it.
The board is a 16" x 24" wooden case with a green acrylic cutout of Guam inlaid into its surface. Four cultural landmarks are marked with stars and labelled in vinyl. A small 3D-printed latte stone - the island's most recognisable cultural symbol - acts as the marker, with a magnet embedded inside it.

MainBoard: common questions
What microcontroller does the MainBoard use?
The MainBoard is built around the Module_XIAO-RP2040, from the RP2040/RP2350 family.
How big is the MainBoard PCB?
The MainBoard measures 65.3 × 50.3 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.
How many components are on the MainBoard?
18 components, from 8 distinct parts. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.
Where can I download the MainBoard design files?
From the connorfcruz/nadanna-guam repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout and the schematic; the links under Design files point to each one.
Can I use the MainBoard design in my own project?
Yes, under the terms of its MIT license, which connorfcruz chose for the repository.
Can I test firmware for the MainBoard without the hardware?
Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug RP2040/RP2350 firmware against it before you order a PCB.
