About the Hat

Hat is an open source PCB design by DagaVedant, published on GitHub. It is a 4-layer board measuring 216.8 × 226.3 mm, with 89 components from 57 distinct parts.

Other key parts include the INA226 module 0x40, buck module 12V->5V, AMS1117 3.3V module, CD4538 and CD4081. By type, the board carries 29 resistors, 20 ICs, 16 connectors, 10 transistors, 10 diodes and 3 capacitors.

It belongs with the dev boards & breakouts designs in this gallery.

From the project

i wanted a hydroponic tower thats one efficent, two scalable, and doesnt need tons of tubes to water each layer and this design only needs one pump, its modular, and each level gets the same amount of water

Hat: common questions

How big is the Hat?

The Hat measures 216.8 × 226.3 mm, has 4 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the Hat?

89 components, from 57 distinct parts, with part numbers taken from the project's own BOM. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the Hat design files?

From the DagaVedant/Hydroponic-Garden repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout, the schematic and the BOM; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the Hat design in my own project?

The repository has no license, so all rights stay with DagaVedant. Use it as a reference, and ask the author before reusing the design.
