About the Linktovideo PCB

Linktovideo is an open source PCB design by danielboston38, published on GitHub under the CERN-OHL-S-2.0 license. It is a 2-layer board measuring 59.9 × 59.7 mm, with 20 components from 17 distinct parts.

Other key parts include the TPS2553DBVR. By type, the board carries 7 resistors, 4 connectors, 4 capacitors, 1 IC, 1 transistor and 1 fuse.

It belongs with the retro computing designs in this gallery.

From the project

Link to Video — composite video + USB-C power replacement for the NES RF modulator. OSHWA certified open source hardware, UID US002842.

A replacement for the RF modulator in the original Nintendo Entertainment System (NES-001). Drops into the stock RF module slot inside the shell and provides composite video and USB-C power in place of a part that fails by design.

The NES-001's RF modulator already carries composite video, so this isn't about adding an output the console lacks. It's about replacing a part that reliably destroys itself.
