Its main chip is the XIAO-RP2350-SMD, from the RP2040/RP2350 family. Other key parts include the LSM6DSV16XTR. By type, the board carries 12 modules, 5 capacitors, 4 resistors, 3 diodes, 2 ICs and 2 connectors.

It belongs with the robotics & motion and sensors designs in this gallery.

From the project

Drone flight software for custom flight controller

Chesapeake is a high-performance, modular embedded flight control firmware designed for the Seeed Studio XIAO RP2350 microcontroller. Built in C++ using PlatformIO with the Earle Philhower Arduino-Pico core, it implements state-of-the-art guidance, navigation, and control algorithms, leveraging Eigen for optimized vector mathematics, custom attitude estimation, and custom Hardware Abstraction Layer (HAL) drivers.

Chesapeake: common questions

What microcontroller does the Chesapeake use?

The Chesapeake is built around the XIAO-RP2350-SMD, from the RP2040/RP2350 family.

How many components are on the Chesapeake?

44 components, from 25 distinct parts. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the Chesapeake design files?

From the dashs20/Chesapeake repository on GitHub, which has a netlist; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the Chesapeake design in my own project?

The repository has no license, so all rights stay with dashs20. Use it as a reference, and ask the author before reusing the design.

Can I test firmware for the Chesapeake without the hardware?

Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug RP2040/RP2350 firmware against it before you order a PCB.
