Its main chip is the STM32G473V, from the STM32 family. Other key parts include the LM1117-3.3, LM1117-5.0, PS508, MCP6002 and AS3364. By type, the board carries 93 resistors, 56 capacitors, 15 ICs, 8 connectors, 7 test points and 3 diodes.

It belongs with the audio designs in this gallery.

From the project

Eurorack polyphonic controller

Quango is a combined MIDI interface, VCA and envelope for controlling four voice polyphonic Eurorack Modular Oscillators. Polyphonic signal interconnections are made via RJ-45 cables (ie Ethernet cables).

Quango can control two VCOs simultaneously, supplying 1V/Octave pitch information and then shaping the returned audio using 8 ADSR envelopes controlling VCAs for each voice.

Quango Components: common questions

What microcontroller does the Quango Components use?

The Quango Components is built around the STM32G473V, from the STM32 family.

How big is the Quango Components PCB?

The Quango Components measures 80.8 × 100 mm, has 4 copper layers and is 1.59 mm thick.

How many components are on the Quango Components?

187 components, from 55 distinct parts. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the Quango Components design files?

From the dchwebb/Quango repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout and the schematic; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the Quango Components design in my own project?

The repository has no license, so all rights stay with dchwebb. Use it as a reference, and ask the author before reusing the design.

Can I test firmware for the Quango Components without the hardware?

Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug STM32 firmware against it before you order a PCB.
