From the project

36 channel servo controller board with 2 rp2040s

- dual RP2040 microcontrollers, each independently driving 18 of the 36 servo channels - 36x WS2812B addressable RGB LEDs, one per channel, in two 18-LED chains (one per RP2040) for per-channel status indication - 17-pin GPIO extension headers, one per RP2040, breaking out spare pins for future expansion

prosoma is built around two RP2040 microcontrollers running in parallel, each one fully responsible for 18 servo channels.

Prosoma: common questions

What microcontroller does the Prosoma use?

The Prosoma is built around the RP2040 1, from the RP2040/RP2350 family.

How big is the Prosoma PCB?

The Prosoma measures 129 × 94.5 mm, has 4 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the Prosoma?

223 components, from 122 distinct parts, with part numbers taken from the project's own BOM. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the Prosoma design files?

From the dialgorithm/prosoma repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout, the schematic and the BOM; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the Prosoma design in my own project?

The repository has no license, so all rights stay with dialgorithm. Use it as a reference, and ask the author before reusing the design.

Can I test firmware for the Prosoma without the hardware?

Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug RP2040/RP2350 firmware against it before you order a PCB.
