About the RHS PCB

RHS is an open source AVR/Arduino PCB design by dmcke5, published on GitHub under the CERN-OHL-S-2.0 license. It is a 2-layer board measuring 26.5 × 26.5 mm, with 31 components from 14 distinct parts.

Its main chip is the ATmega328P-A, from the AVR/Arduino family. Other key parts include the FPF2109. By type, the board carries 10 diodes, 6 capacitors, 4 switches, 3 ICs, 3 connectors and 2 resistors.

It belongs with the power & battery designs in this gallery.

From the project

This is the second revision of my Mini PC based handheld Gaming PC! It is designed for a Beelink SER 5 Mini PC but could be adapted to other systems by changing the mounting brackets and outlet plate.

All of the required PCB's are in the PCB Files folder as both a zipped Gerber file for direct upload to your manufacturer of choice, along with the KiCad project files which you can use to check locations/orientations of components and produce a BOM.

RHS: common questions

What microcontroller does the RHS use?

The RHS is built around the ATmega328P-A, from the AVR/Arduino family.

How big is the RHS PCB?

The RHS measures 26.5 × 26.5 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the RHS?

31 components, from 14 distinct parts. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the RHS design files?

From the dmcke5/ZenDeck repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout and the schematic; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the RHS design in my own project?

Yes, under the terms of its CERN-OHL-S-2.0 license, which dmcke5 chose for the repository.

Can I test firmware for the RHS without the hardware?

Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug AVR/Arduino firmware against it before you order a PCB.
