About the Nixieclock PCB
Nixieclock is an open source Raspberry Pi PCB design by docsteer, published on GitHub under the CC0-1.0 license. It is a 2-layer board measuring 200 × 75 mm, with 48 components from 23 distinct parts.
Its main chip is the Raspberry_Pi_2_3, from the Raspberry Pi family. Other key parts include the HV5530. By type, the board carries 12 resistors, 10 capacitors, 6 diodes, 4 connectors, 2 ICs and 1 crystal.
It belongs with the displays & leds designs in this gallery.
From the project
Software and hardware for a nixie clock based on Raspberry Pi Zero W and IN14 tubes
The design has hour, minute and second displays, separator digits (IN-1 indicators), and RGB LED underlighting of the tubes.
It drives the tubes, and controls the LED underlighting based on astrononical time, pre-dawn, after dawn, after noon, after sunset)
It requires the following libraries (which you can install with ):

Nixieclock: common questions
What microcontroller does the Nixieclock use?
The Nixieclock is built around the Raspberry_Pi_2_3, from the Raspberry Pi family.
How big is the Nixieclock PCB?
The Nixieclock measures 200 × 75 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.
How many components are on the Nixieclock?
48 components, from 23 distinct parts. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.
Where can I download the Nixieclock design files?
From the docsteer/nixieclock repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout; the links under Design files point to each one.
Can I use the Nixieclock design in my own project?
Yes, under the terms of its CC0-1.0 license, which docsteer chose for the repository.
Can I test firmware for the Nixieclock without the hardware?
Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug Raspberry Pi firmware against it before you order a PCB.
