About the PSU PCB

PSU is an open source PCB design by domesticmouse, published on GitHub under the CERN-OHL-P-2.0 license. It is a 2-layer board measuring 28 × 110 mm, with 28 components from 17 distinct parts.

Other key parts include the K7812-1000R3. By type, the board carries 7 capacitors, 5 test points, 4 connectors, 4 diodes, 3 resistors and 2 ICs.

It belongs with the power & battery and audio designs in this gallery.

From the project

A simple Eurorack power supply. Just +12v and -12v rails. Nothing fancy.

A simple 6HP +-12V Eurorack PSU, based on Winterbloom's [Micronova][]. See [EurorRack dimensions][] for faceplate dimensions.

PSU: common questions

How big is the PSU PCB?

The PSU measures 28 × 110 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the PSU?

28 components, from 17 distinct parts, with part numbers taken from the project's own BOM. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the PSU design files?

From the domesticmouse/eurorack_psu repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout, the schematic and the BOM; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the PSU design in my own project?

Yes, under the terms of its CERN-OHL-P-2.0 license, which domesticmouse chose for the repository.
