About the Carrier board

Carrier board is an open source PCB design by doug7410, published on GitHub under the MIT license. It is a 2-layer board measuring 140 × 100 mm, with 21 components from 10 distinct parts.

By type, the board carries 8 capacitors, 7 resistors, 3 jumpers and 1 transistor.

It belongs with the dev boards & breakouts, displays & leds and audio designs in this gallery.

From the project

Build guide, BOM and hardware for the Now-Playing desk appliance: HUB75 spectrum + touch now-playing display driven by room-mic song recognition

A desk device that listens to the room, figures out what song is playing, and shows it: a HUB75 LED matrix renders a synced spectrum / lyrics visualization, and a 5" touch screen shows the cover, title, artist, progress and a mosaic of what played recently. The whole thing lives in a routed guitar body with three gold knobs and a bat-handle power toggle.

Both boards authenticate to the cloud with one shared device token. The cloud derives all state server-side; the boards render dumb.
