About the Full keyboard PCB

Full keyboard is an open source RP2040/RP2350 PCB design by dragonruler1000, published on GitHub under the CERN-OHL-P-2.0 license. It is a 2-layer board measuring 434 × 166.8 mm, with 224 components from 16 distinct parts.

Its main chip is the RaspberryPi_Pico, from the RP2040/RP2350 family. Other key parts include the MCP23017-E_SP. By type, the board carries 110 switches, 108 diodes, 2 capacitors, 1 IC, 1 module and 1 connector.

It belongs with the keyboards designs in this gallery.

From the project

I wanted to make this to allow me to try a mechanical keyboard without needing to spend $200+ for a lowend mechanical keyboard and to give a chance to use QMK firmware.

To make this keyboard for your self upload the gerbers in /PCB to your prefered pcb site. the case is split into 2 parts the files are in /CAD. firmware is built like any qmk firmware. instructions are in the folder as well. other parts are listed below and in BOM.csv and BOM.ods

Full keyboard: common questions

What microcontroller does the Full keyboard use?

The Full keyboard is built around the RaspberryPi_Pico, from the RP2040/RP2350 family.

How big is the Full keyboard PCB?

The Full keyboard measures 434 × 166.8 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the Full keyboard?

224 components, from 16 distinct parts, with part numbers taken from the project's own BOM. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the Full keyboard design files?

From the dragonruler1000/full-keyboard repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout, the schematic and the BOM; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the Full keyboard design in my own project?

Yes, under the terms of its CERN-OHL-P-2.0 license, which dragonruler1000 chose for the repository.

Can I test firmware for the Full keyboard without the hardware?

Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug RP2040/RP2350 firmware against it before you order a PCB.
