About the Giris PCB

Giris is an open source PCB design by dubnubdubnub, published on GitHub under the Apache-2.0 license. It is a 4-layer board measuring 70.1 × 60 mm, with 136 components from 38 distinct parts.

Other key parts include the SRV05-4A, LM66100DCK, AP22653W6-7, TPS7A4700RGWT and XC6206P332MR. By type, the board carries 56 capacitors, 34 resistors, 25 ICs, 8 connectors, 8 switches and 2 LEDs.

It belongs with the keyboards, sensors and dev boards & breakouts designs in this gallery.

From the project

Open-source analog Hall-effect split keyboard — 8 kHz, TMR2615F magnetic sensors, AT32F405, from-scratch firmware

An open-source analog Hall-effect split keyboard. Each half reads 32 TMR2615F magnetic sensors with an ArteryTek AT32F405 and links to the other half over USB-C, so travel is measured in millimetres rather than switches being merely open or closed — which is what makes adjustable actuation, rapid trigger and analog stick output possible.

The two halves run one firmware image and work out between themselves which is which. They handle three topologies: chained through one host, standalone, and dual-host — where each half is plugged into a different computer and a keypress moves input between…
